Symptom:

Theservercannotdetecttheconnectedstoragearray.

Actions:

1.EnsurethattherearI/Omodulesaresecuredtothechassisandconnectedtotheconnectorsonthe

rearofthebackplane.

2.EnsurethattheSASsignalcablesaresecurelyconnectedtothecorrectconnectorsontherearI/O

modules.

3.EnsurethattheSASsignalcablesaresecurelyconnectedtothecorrectconnectorsontheRAID

cardorHostBusAdapterinstalledintheserver.

4.Checkthepower-statusLEDonthefrontpanel.IftheLEDisnotlitingreen,dooneorallofthefollowing:

•Disconnectandreconnectthepowercords.

•Removeandreinstallthepowersupplies.

5.Connectthestoragearraytotheserveragainandcheckiftheservercandetectthestoragearray.

6.CheckthestatusLEDsontherearI/OmodulestoensurethattherearI/Omodulesareworkingnormally.

Symptom:

ThecolorofsomeLEDsonthefrontpanelindicatespotentialsystemerrors.

Actions:

1.Ensurethattheambienttemperatureiswithintherequiredrangeofthestoragearray.

2.Ifthepower-statusLEDisnotlitingreen,checkthat:

•Thepowercordisworkingcorrectly.

•Thepowersupplyisworkingnormally.Replacethepowersupplyifnecessary.
